# Authorized Participant Onboarding

An Authorized Participant (AP) in Sierra's ecosystem is an institutional entity formally onboarded and approved by Sierra Reserve Limited to mint and redeem Vaults and LVTs issued by Sierra. Onboarding requires completing KYB, providing information on entity ownership structure, AML/CTF screening, and ongoing monitoring. 

Once approved, APs must also designate specific wallets that Sierra Reserve whitelists and continuously monitors via Chainalysis. Sierra Reserve retains sole discretion to suspend or revoke AP status at any time for compliance, sanctions, or reputational concerns.
